The Perfect Travel Dress: My Marcella NYC Dress Review

As someone who travels constantly, I’m always searching for the perfect outfit—something stylish, comfortable, and practical enough to handle everything from long-haul flights to airport sprints.
I recently put the Marcella NYC dress to the test on a full travel day, and I have to say, it absolutely delivered. Here’s why I’m obsessed—and why you might want to add it to your travel wardrobe too.
Why I Loved This Travel Dress

At first, I thought this dress might be too warm for travel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The zipper at the neck makes it easy to adjust your temperature—zip it up when you're chilly, unzip for a little breathability. The fabric is the perfect thickness to feel cozy without overheating.

I wore this dress all day long—from reclining in my plane seat to navigating busy airports and sitting for hours. It never felt restrictive, and I still looked put together when I arrived at my destination. No wrinkles, no discomfort, just effortless style.

Fit & Sizing
I originally ordered a Medium, but I found it a little more snug in the chest than I expected, so I swapped it for a Large—which fit perfectly. I’ll be working towards that Medium, though! 😉
How I Styled It
I kept it casual with sneakers, and for a chilly early morning flight out of Paris, I layered it with a cropped puffer vest—a perfect combo.
If you’re heading somewhere extra cold, you can easily pair it with tights or leggings for extra warmth.
This dress got loads of compliments, and it’s safe to say it’s now a staple in my travel wardrobe. I loved it so much that I’m definitely getting it in black next!
